Anthony_M:You're very welcome. I'm glad to be here.
Kim: Thanks for this chat
Kathrin: Anthony thank you for coming, I hear you sing, any CDs soon?
Anthony_M: The CD I worked on is called, "What You Know About..." and is
available on my website, www.anthonymontgomery.com, and will be available
through Rod at Roddenberry.com.
Heather: You can reach the Roddenberry store at store.roddenberry.com Once
it is avaliable through the store you will find it under media in the CD
section, as well as we will post information on it as soon as possible
Lost Shuttle: do you remember what it felt like to stand on the bridge
that first time?
Anthony_M: Of Course I remember! It was an amazing feeling knowing that I
had such an incredible job that would touch so many incredible lives.
Natira: do you miss being on the show?
Anthony_M: I miss the show and seeing my new "extended family" every day.
Kathrin: Do you have a favorite moment, or episode?
Anthony_M: My favorite episodes were all those that contained our entire
cast (including Phlox) since it was so rare we were all together.
Lost Shuttle: is there anything you would have like to have had your
character do ? Other then saving the universe that is :)
Anthony_M: ;-) I wanted to see Travis' back story revealed more. I loved
"Horizon" and would like to have done more discovery of his personal life.
Kathrin: do you have a favorite off camera story that you can share with
us?
Anthony_M: Off camera story? You mean with or about other cast members?
Heather: I believe they do, or perhaps something you yourself did
such as a goof or prank....
Anthony_M: Alas, as animated as I am, I don't have any precious stories to
tell.
Natira: what was the funniest blooper that you can remember?
Anthony_M: A few years ago, for Scott's birthday, the producers and art
dept. got together and had us do a "recreation" of a Canada Dry commercial
that Scott did years earlier. We sang and danced! It was hysterical!
Kathrin: Sounds like you guys had a good cast dynamics then
Lost Shuttle: ohh that would have been so good <in response to reveling
more of Travis back story> i wondered why they never did more there
myself...
Anthony_M: We had a blast on set! Not always, just like in any family, but
we had enormous respect and love for each other
Anthony_M: <in response to Lost Shuttle> The writers had 6 other cast
members to write for and sometimes they had to focus on other stories,
besides Travis'.
Kim: Were you a fan of Star Trek before you landed your 'Enterprise' role
& if so, why?
Anthony_M: I was indeed a fan of the the franchise. I think Gene
Roddenberry was a genius and his vision inspired me to strive for a better
life, a better future

Natira: there were a lot of grumblings about Enterprise theme song, I
personally loved it.and thought it to quite appripos for Enterpise. What
did you think about it?
Kim: I loved the theme song also....
Adam: me too
Mod_Kestra: me three :D
Anthony_M: I loved our theme song! I thought it was perfect. I wasn't as
thrilled when they added the guiters for Season 4. I still thought it was
great though.
Kim: What kind of music do you like best Anthony?

Anthony_M: :-)
Anthony_M: I have very eclectic musical interests. I have over 2000 CDs,
Classical, Country, Rock, Pop, Rap/Hip Hop, Reggae... I love it all!
Because of where I'm from, I probably listen to Hip Hop most. It really
just depends on my mood!
Mod_Kestra: busy boy! that's how i listen to music too
Adam: Hi, I doubt you will remember me but I met you at a convention at
the London expo last year, at the end of the day I had only a little bit
of money left and you let me have £5 off your CD, and I said that you
was cool for a space boomer, thank you very much for that I have loved the
CD! I was just wondering how has your career been since star trek and has
it been more to do with music, acting or other?
Anthony_M: Hey I'm glad you love the CD!! After the show wrapped, I left
Hollywood for a few months and went back to my hometown to help raise
money for the inner-city kids (specifically my old high school). I had to
postpone the fundraising event due to Hurricane Katrina but will play that
process forward this fall! I've since, been working on my grandfather's
documentary, completed a Hip Hop song for Rod Roddenberry (which you will
all hear more about very soon),
I got cast and started shooting an independent feature called, Burgundy
Corona,
I did a convention in the Orlando area, and I start filming this Tuesday
as the lead in an untitled independent feature about a man's fear of
commitment.
Needless to say, I've tried to keep myself a little busy.
Heather: Well I guess that leds us into Natira's question....
Natira: Anthony, are you familiar with Rod's project "Trek Nation"? Have
you done any work on/for it?
Anthony_M: I am familiar with the Trek Nation documentary. If everything
works out, the song I wrote for Rod will appear in Trek Nation. Other than
that, I didn't do any other work on it.
Jessica: Besides from Ensign Mayweather, are there any other roles that
you have done that have really felt special to you? Either because the
character was similar to you or touched a cord in you? or for any other
reason...?
Anthony_M: Jessica, I try to have a connection to all the roles I take.
When I was the host of the kid's show, I probably loved that most! They
took me around the world to do some incredible things!
And hosting wasn't a role, it was me having a great time in different
locations!
Adam: How did you find out about the role of Ensign Mayweather and how
many times did you have to audition before you got the part?
Anthony_M: I found out about the role from my representation at the time.
I auditoned twice before testing for Paramount for the role of Travis. I
auditioned for the Voyager twice and had a great relationship with the
casting director, Ron Surma. He remembered me from my auditions and
contacted my agent to bring me in for Travis.
Lor: How did you prepare for your role in Enterprise, did you discuss it
with those who did it in the previous Star Trek series?
Anthony_M: I don't really know how long I prepared for the role. I just
prepared until I felt comfortable. I did not know any of the previous
series' cast members at the time.
Natira: were you interested in scifi before you were part of Enterprise?
Anthony_M: I think I've always liked sci-fi! I never imagined I'd become a
part of it!
Adam: How did you react when you found out you had got the part?
Anthony_M: When I found out I got the role, I screamed, laughed, and
called my mom. She screamed too!
Craiger: So what do people think about the people at TU still wanting to
save Enterprise almost a year after Enterprise has been cancelled? Do you
think they will ever do a movie? If so will you participate?
Kim: Even a tv or cable movie would be good
Anthony_M: I don't know what others think. I think it's wonderful our fans
at Trek United still care so much! I don't know if they'll ever do a
movie. I doubt it, but I would participate if it ever came to fruition.
Kim:'Enterprise' will live forever on dvd - you must be proud of that
Anthony?
Anthony_M: I'm honored to now be a part of the global lexicon! It's
awe-inspiring!
Lor: Would you take an opportunity to go into space yourself?
Anthony_M: I think space travel is an ultimate in discovery! I don't know
if I would do it myself for fear of Murphy's Law.
Kim: An actor's life cannot be boring or easy but it must be challenging
for you?
Anthony_M: My life as an actor is one of the largest challenges I've ever
had to face. I love it! I need to head to rehearsal for my movie. I'll
take two more questions.
Adam: you said that you had auditioned for voyager before, have you ever
had a role in any of the star treks before enterprise? what role(s) on
Voyager were you looking at?
Anthony_M: I've never been on any of the other shows. I don't remember
both roles. One was as a transmission as Tuvok's son.
Heather: And our final question is...
Jessica: Are there any conventions or events that you plan on doing this
year that we can come out to see and support you?
Anthony_M: I don't have any conventions scheduled but I'm setting up some
performance shows that I would love to see you all at! Once the dates and
venues are set, I'll post the information at my website so stay tuned!
